Chapter 9

I woke up to a knock on the door. I sat up on the bed and looked toward the door. I saw the shadow of Hank and Hoy on the other side of the window. Though, the window was covered by a window shade. I got out of bed and rushed over to the door. Unlocking the door and opening it, to reveal Hank and Hoy with freshened up expressions. Like the sleep did wonders for them.

"Hey, Hank and Hoy! You guys got some good sleep?" They nodded in response. Hank reached out his arm to stretch, Hoy did the same shortly afterwards.

"It was very relaxing. We haven't had sleep like that in weeks." Hank said with some laughter.

"Agreed." Hoy said shortly after.

"Are you guys ready to head out?" I asked them, which they nodded in approval. I decided to head back inside and grab the AzLean Sword still shapeshifted into an umbrella. "Alright, I'm already set on going." I walked over to the doorway and stepped out of the room. I closed the door behind me and used the key to lock it. Hank and Hoy started to lead the way back to the elevator.

We got back to the elevator and stepped inside as quickly as possible. I could tell that Hank and Hoy were feeling hyped. As we headed out, we gave our keys to the front desk. Then, we began making our way out of the building. When we got to the four way intersection, we stopped in confusion. The signs were written in an unfamiliar language, making it hard to figure out where the exit was.

Hank and Hoy looked in all directions, before coming to the decision of taking a left. I followed them without asking or judging their decision. Eventually, we got to the exit that was guarded by more dragon guards. They looked over to us and watched as we began making our way to Hank and Hoy's spaceship sitting alone in the middle of the runway. It was like the spaceship was there ready for them.

As we approached from behind the spacecraft. We were interrupted by the familiar voice of Bellhic coming up from behind us. "Before you guys go." Hank and Hoy turned to face Bellhic walking up to us. I walked up beside Hank and Hoy and did the same. "I'd like to let you guys know that the Robanians will shoot on sight. So, make sure to take this with you guys."

Bellhic handed over to Hank and Hoy a small electronic device. Hank looked down at the device in his hand, before a smile appeared. "Is this what I think it is?" Bellhic nodded in response. "Thank you, this will be very useful."

"You should be able to find the battleships hanging out along the Gectic System. It's about fifty light-years upwards from the Untouchable Zone. You should be able to find the outlines of the battleships." Hank and Hoy nodded before holding the device tightly and heading back to his spacecraft.

I looked at Bellhic, slightly nodding to him. "Wish us luck, we promise to bring back some mullah's." Bellhic nodded as I followed Hank and Hoy into the spaceship. That's when something was picked up from my senses. I could feel a presence nearby watching me. I couldn't pinpoint it, leading me to start looking around for any possible explanation of the feeling.

When I didn't see anything, I tried to toss it out as just something in my mind. However, Hank behind me yelled out in a fearful tone. "What the heck?! I thought we killed you?!" My attention turned and looked toward what Hank was looking at. That's when I could see the familiar outline of the dark creature from before.

I held the umbrella tighter and backed away as I watched Hank and Hoy stand their ground. The dark entity held out it's staff and pointed toward Hank and Hoy. "You. . ." I still couldn't see their real face as it was blocked mostly by a skeleton mask. "Prepare for the worst. . ."

"What? What are you talking about? Who are you?" Hank's voice was growing frustrated and demanding.

"You can call me the Life Reaper, I have come to spread a message." The Reaper lowered its staff to its side. "A message of your family."

Hank and Hoy's expressions turned to worry and fear. "Our family? What about them?"

"The worst to come upon your loved ones. They have been deemed unnecessary. If you wish to save them, this is your only chance." Hank and Hoy at first shrugged those words off as nothing. Until, Hoy came to a realization about what the words meant.

"Wait, you're not saying. . ." The Reaper didn't reply, but its silence was enough for them to reach out his arm and call out to their weapons. Instantly, the axe and the nunchucks flew out of the spacecraft and landed into Hank and Hoy's respective hands. The two weapons burst into flames as they leaped toward the Reaper with force and speed.

However, the Reaper was capable of using the staff to block each one. "If you try and kill my family, I will murder you." Hank said with a growl.

"Nobody hurts our family!" Hoy said with anger.

The Reaper kicked them backwards and swung the staff. Nearly scraping Hank's arm, but was able to stop it in time with the axe. The flame from the axe as it touched the staff, flung onto the ground. Resulting in flames flinging off the sword and nearly hitting me. Luckily, I lifted the umbrella up and blocked it.

As I watched, I could tell that Hank and Hoy were growing stronger with each swing. The Reaper begins to struggle, but still uses the staff to block each one. Slowly beginning to struggle more and more as Hank and Hoy were extremely angry. Eventually, Hank used his axe to push the reaper several feet back. Landing onto its back, while Hank leaps forward and holds the axe up to the reaper's neck. "Try to move and I'll kill you right here, right now."

The flame from the axe making contact with the reaper's skin began burning it harshly. The Reaper gasped and groaned under its breath, but remained silent. Until not long later when the Reaper spoke a few words up to Hank and Hoy. "Killing me, will kill your family."

Hank kept his grip with the axe to the Reaper's neck. "You probably shouldn't make your move, if you don't want to be alone." I could tell from underneath the mask that Reaper was grinning. I watched in silence as Hank lifted the axe above his head, about to swing downwards. The Reaper is not flinching or preparing itself for death. Though, as the axe swung down toward the neck of the Reaper. It landed to the left of the Reaper's neck, cutting into the ground.

Hank panted as he looked down to the Reaper. Then, he got off the Reaper and began rushing into the spacecraft. I glanced at the Reaper then Hank and Hoy, before following them into the spacecraft. When I did, I watched in confusion as Hank and Hoy begin pressing buttons in the cockpit. "What are you guys doing?"

"We're going home." Hoy used his hand to gesture to just them. Showing that they are only talking about themselves.

"If he's right, they are going to destroy our home."

I rush over to the co-pilot seat and sit down. "Then I'm coming with you." Hank stops me from buckling in.

"No! You're not, I need you to start heading to the Battleship base." I shake my head, but Hank continued. "It's the best cause of action right now." I'm left speechless as Hank leads me out of the spacecraft. "It's for the best." He tells me, before closing the spacecraft door. I watch as the spacecraft begins to lift off the ground and float upwards. Then, within barely a second it takes off out of view.

I looked back toward the Reaper still laying on the ground. The Reaper returned it's attention to me, "This is your choice. You can either help them save their species, or you can destroy your worst enemy." I'm left speechless as I look back up to where Hank and Hoy vanished.

I looked back down to the Reaper, my expression of determination showing my choice. I looked ahead and clanged the end of the umbrella with force, instantly bursting out a wave of energy as it changed back to the AzLean Sword. Using the energy flow, I lift off the ground and toward the sky.

I looked back and saw Bellhic watching me with a speechless expression. As I ascend further upwards, eventually his attention turns to the Reaper. Ordering the guards to arrest him, which they comply with immediately afterwards. I soon looked upwards, and didn't take long for me to reach the gate.

I saw the gate slowly closing, so I increased the speed. Right as the gate was about to close off with the field of energy. I pass right through the small gap closing in just in time. Reaching the other side without a problem. I then stop and look around for any sign of Hank and Hoy's spacecraft. That's when I saw the shape of his spacecraft in the distance growing further and further away.

I blast off toward that direction with immense power and speed. However, even though I was getting closer to him. I tried to decrease my speed just enough, so I don't get too close. Not wanting to get noticed by the twins. They don't want me to come with, so I'll just follow them secretly.

After several minutes, I noticed a planet coming into view. It was surrounded by three Robanian spaceships. Although, they didn't appear to be battleships. Instead, they appeared to be much larger in size, had no ring around the spacecraft, and were fairly similar to Star Trek's in a way. It was hard to explain as I watched from a distance as Hank and Hoy's spacecraft descended toward the planet.

I look around at the Robanian spacecraft surrounding the planet. I take a second to breathe, before flying toward one of the spaceships. As I fly toward one of the spaceships, I watch as Hank and Hoy stop their spacecraft. None of the spaceships try to shoot them down. In fact, it's almost like there's no activity happening between the spaceships, the planet, or even Hank and Hoy's spaceship.

This doesn't stop me from crashing through one of the walls of the Robanian spaceship remaining still. The hole started to leak air out heavily, beginning to suck things through. I increase the energy around me to make me immune from the leakage as I begin crashing through walls of the spaceship.

I crash through several rooms, with Robanians surprised by my visit. I finally stopped in a large room with many desks. Robanians sitting and roaming around the room casually. As soon as I stood in the middle of the room, the Robanians looked toward me. They begin forming magic and attempting to hit me with it. Fortunately, the energy of the sword was so strong. Their magic wasn't doing anything.

I patiently waited as the Robanians attacked me for a few minutes. They all stopped when they realized their magic wasn't doing anything. I smirk as I look at each one of them. "My turn." I say with confidence as I create a large beam of energy and shockwave it across the room. The energy was so strong, every Robanians body disappeared. Leaving their clothes in their place.

That's when the alarms begin going off throughout the spaceship. Noticing the red lights above the door starting to flash brightly. The door to the room opened with several more Robanians. Only this time, they had large medieval armor to cover their body's. Still smirking, I use the energy of the sword to begin going at extreme speeds. I slice each Robanian with the sword faster than they could react.

I got through the row of Robanians, finding myself in a hallway. I heard the sounds of Robanians voices from the far ends of each hallway. I look toward the ends of each hallway, noticing even more Robanians with armor starting to approach me. I reach out my other hand, letting the energy go through it.

That's when I started to feel the spaceship itself. I could feel the walls throughout the spaceship, even the life forms inside. Luckily, I could only feel the presence of Robanians on board. As I focused on the feeling of the spaceship. I decide to slowly from my hand into a fist. That's when I begin to feel the spaceship beginning to collapse in on itself.

As I squeezed my hand into a fist, I could feel the walls crumble and cave in. Explosions and several rumbles were felt from throughout the spaceship. I watched as the Robanians from within each hallway cried out in pain and fear. I felt the life forms throughout the spaceship disappear as I finally made a fist with my hand. I held the sword tightly in my hand as I leap into flying again. Bursting through the walls as the spaceship slowly falls apart with each second.

It didn't take long until I burst through the final wall and escaped. I found myself in front of the planet. I fly further out before looking back. I watched as the spaceship didn't look anywhere remotely close to what it was. That's when the spaceship bursted with a large explosion. Double the size of the spaceship's crumbled state.

I looked away as the bright light lit up all of the nearby spaceships still stationary. I looked back to the explosion, watching as the debris was everywhere. Knowing that the entire thing was destroyed finally, I turn my attention back around to the next one. Unfortunately, before I could begin heading to it. A bright missile going extremely fast coming from one of the spaceships began heading toward the planet.

I couldn't react in time as the missile made contact with the surface. A large shockwave went throughout the planet's surface. Instantly, I could see the cracks of the planet form with lava ascending to the surface. "Shit!" I decided to go as fast as possible toward the planet. I descend through the atmosphere and land onto the ground.

Holding the sword tighter in my hand, I let the energy come to my free hand. I reach down to the ground and touch it. I slowly begin to feel every inch of the planet. Unfortunately, the overwhelming size of the planet made it harder for me to focus. That's when I heard the familiar sound of Hank and Hoy's spacecraft land nearby. The door opened with Hank and Hoy carrying their weapons and approaching me quickly.

"What the hell were you thinking following me? You just cost us our chance to save them." Hank said with frustration.

I look up to him, keeping my hand on the ground. "I know! But they were going to kill you. . ."

"I don't care, at least we'd be dying with them." Hoy said, his tone not showing clear frustration, but rather just disappointment.

"Well, in case you haven't realized. I'm trying to keep the planet from falling apart. So, this is your chance to get them off. Do you guys have spaceships?"

"No, they haven’t arrived yet."

"Well then, what the hell are we going to do then?" I demand an answer as I try to keep my grip on the planet with energy. Hank and Hoy grow speechless, until we both feel a rumble from a distance. Large flashes of explosions coming from the remaining Robanian spaceships.

It didn't take long until we saw familiar spaceships coming in. It was the Azorians, and they came to help us. The three of us grinned widely in excitement and happiness at the sight. Hank and Hoy raised their hands up with their weapons, feeling overjoyed to see them. Hank and Hoy begin rushing to their spaceship. That's when something caught them off guard, causing a large shockwave that shook the ground, even me.

I looked over to them, before my expression turned to disbelief at what I was looking at. I was speechless at what I was looking at. A large bodybuild, approximately eight feet, armor protected several portions of his body. The armor had familiar symbols all over it, appearing to be the same magic properties as the AzLean Sword. Simply by looking at it, a purple magic energy went through it.

Still keeping my hand to the ground, using the energy to prevent the planet from collapsing. I could only use my head to look up to him. Hank and Hoy were tossed several feet back, getting several scrapes and bruises from the contact. Hank used his axe to help himself up to his feet. Then, slowly looked up toward the large man standing in front of them.

His eyes widened when they noticed who it was. Hoy blurted out once his eyes adjusted to the sight. "Grandmaster. . .?" Surprised by the appearance, his words grew quiet as he stared up at the Grandmaster in front of them.

"The twins. . . It's lovely getting to see you again." The grandmaster's voice had a calming tone, deep and commanding.

"Why. . .? Why are you here? Why are you doing this?" The grandmaster chuckles inside, looking down at Hank and Hoy with a simple smirk.

"You have betrayed the Robanian force. Doing that leads to the destruction of your planet, and yourself." The grandmaster corrects himself shortly afterwards. "Oh, excuse me. Yourselves I mean."

Hoy helps himself and Hank up from the ground. Holding their weapons tighter as they face the grandmaster. I stare up at them in disbelief from what I'm seeing. The man behind everything is about to kill my friends. Sadly, I couldn't do anything about it as simply doing so. Would lead to the destruction of the planet, and possibly kill everyone else on it. I need to let Hank and Hoy pass the time while Azorians help everyone off.

I look over to Hank and Hoy, watching as they lift up their weapons. Fire appears on their weapons as they go into a defensive stance. The grandmaster doesn't move or prepare himself. Instead, he stays still and watches them with a smirk still on his face. Eventually, Hank and Hoy begin running in head first with their weapons fully ready.

The grandmaster watches them approach him. Only then for him to dodge out of the way as they swing forward with the axe. Missing, Hank continues to swing at the Grandmaster. Still missing each time as it looked like the grandmaster wasn't breaking a sweat. Hoy, using his arm to attempt to throw the nunchucks toward him. Only for them to go over his shoulder as the Grandmaster blocks the axe with an armor piece on his arm.

From where I was watching, I couldn't tell if the axe penetrated the armor. Though, Hank was struggling to pull it out of the armor. Eventually, the Grandmaster uses his other fist to punch Hank and Hoy in the guts. So hard in fact, Hank and Hoy spit out blood. Hank and Hoy were tossed a few feet back, and fell onto their knees. Continuing to spit out blood from the immense impact.

I felt the engines of an Azorian space shuttle land onto the planet. Not too far away from me as I watch several Azorian guards help Hunkles onto their spaceship. I watch while still keeping my focus on the planet itself with the other hand. Two Azorians fly over to me with their large wings, checking up on us. "You guys okay?" One asks, as I look up to them and motion for them with my free hand to leave.

They comply instantly when they realize the situation is ongoing. They fly back to their spaceship as I continue to keep my hand on the ground. I also watch as more Azorian spaceships land and pick up more Hunkles. As this is happening, the Grandmaster walks over to Hank and Hoy still on their knees. "If you haven't betrayed us, we wouldn't have to do this."

Hank looks up as the Grandmaster yanks the axe out of his armor. Then, he uses both of his hands to rip the axe in half. I saw as the energy of the axe disappeared, leaving only the broken remains of it. "No. . ." Hank gasped out, still trying to recover. The Grandmaster walks over the axe and up to the twins. He uses a hand to lift up Hoy's chin to face him.

The grandmaster still had a smirk on his face. "I would kill you both, but I think the better option is to just kill one of you." The Grandmaster said as he took the upper half of the axe. Hank's expression turned to worry as he lifted it up to Hoy's neck. "I don't think you need this anymore." Grandmaster said with a grin, as he raised it upwards. Hoy's hand raises up, calling for the nunchucks.

Beginning to fly straight toward Hoy's hand. However, he was too late. The grandmaster swung the axe in just the right angle, and it chopped off only Hoy's head. Hank screamed out from the instant pain, feeling the other arm and leg grow num. The nunchucks fell to the ground once it didn't feel itself getting called in. Hank started to cry and scream in pain, as blood started pouring out of the wound.

As soon as the commotion happened, I noticed that the last few Azorian spaceships had left. I lifted up my hand from the ground and grasped the sword. The energy flowing through it as I casted a large beam toward the Grandmaster. Instantly surprised by the sudden beam of energy, gets pummeled by the energy. Getting tossed away from Hank and Hoy's collapsed body.

I rush over to the side of only Hank's body now, as the wound where Hoy's head was pouring tons of blood. I try to use anything nearby to cover the wound and stop the bleeding. Though, it was no use as it was such a large wound to cover. The planet started to rumble and crack as it slowly began to collapse in on itself.

I heard the grandmaster get up onto his feet. Looking down on us as he chuckles with delight. "We will meet very soon, you and me, Floyd. It will be a delightful meeting." He chuckles, as the same purple magic appears around his hand. Creating a portal behind him, "I'll be waiting. . ." He said with confidence before stepping through the portal, before vanishing. Leaving me to return my attention back to Hank.

Then that's when the energy gave me an idea. Lifting up the sword and beginning to take the energy from it to try and stop the bleeding. Luckily, this appeared to work as the wound was completely covered. However, Hank was passed out from the intense pain and pressure of it. I take the energy of the sword again, and surround us in a bubble. Protecting us from the outside elements of the dying planet.

It didn't take long until the planet exploded. Tossing us into space while still protected within the energy bubble. I held Hank in my arms as I watched the debris of the planet scatter around us. I have never once seen a planet explode. For the most part it looked beautiful, but how it happened and who was on it. Ruined the experience as it started to give me an emotion of rage.

It wasn't long until a Robanian spaceship above us spotted us. A large beam of energy surrounded us, as it pulled us up to the spaceship. I looked up to the spaceship and watched as we ascended upwards to it. Before I knew it, we ascended into a bright light. Only knowing that in that moment, I could still feel Hank motionless in my arms.
